Can the touch of a rock god last forever?

Legendary alt rock singer, Aubrey King, is making a comeback after many years out of the spotlight. Rumors of his sexuality have always dogged him, and while he’s never come out publicly, his reasons for leaving the industry had nothing to do with his fear of discovery. What matters to him is the music. That’s his truth, and so far, his only real love. He aches to find someone to share his life with, but his propensity to fall fast and hard—along with chasing men he knows can never be his—has left him all alone.

Rock journalist Bryan Gallagher was first turned on to rock music at the age of twelve when he became obsessed with Aubrey’s band, Falling in Stereo. His friends, and even girlfriends, would sometimes tease him that he was hot for Aubrey. But it was all about the music and nothing else—at least that’s what he’s always told himself.

When he’s approached about helping Aubrey write his memoir, it’s not only a dream assignment, but an exciting opportunity to work closely with his idol.

When Bryan meets Aubrey, the electric heat between them is unnerving. He’s further confused by how intense Aubrey’s attraction toward him is and how deeply they connect over their shared obsession of music. While Bryan struggles with uncertainty regarding his own sexuality, he also has to navigate through the perils of working with a lover and keeping their relationship a secret.

But Bryan’s biggest struggle of all might be determining whether declarations of true love from a rock star can ever be trusted.

I have only read Morticia’s BDSM books until now.  So, I was intrigued to read Rocked Hard.  And I must say I am not disappointed.

We have a Rock Star that left the world of music after becoming disillusioned with how things worked.  But now he is building up to a comeback.  Aubrey has been battered by the music world, and wonders if he is fooling himself.

Brian gets the chance to work with his childhood here rock star Aubrey on his memoir, and they pretty much hit it off from start. Brian must face his attraction to Aubrey, he has not felt like this for another man before.  But he can not deny his feelings as they only get stronger.

Unbeknown to Brian, Aubrey has used the idea or having Memoir to contact with Brian, who is a rock Journalist.  This along with a darker secret Aubrey tries to hide from Brian, until he is forced to tell him.

The story is about being truthful and building trust.  If only Aubrey had faith in his Manager years ago, he may never have retired.  And if only he trusted Brian fully from the start, their relationship may have run smoother and not be threatened by lies.

Apart from the slight manipulation by Aubrey getting Brian to write his memoir, (a little creepy, but understandable), The characters are well balanced, And Aubrey is not your typical Rock star, at least when he is not performing.  Brian is the more level headed of the two and pushes Aubrey to be a better person and to believe in himself.

I Also really like Rudy as a secondary character, who is there for Brian when the sh*t hits the fan.  And, there to pull Aubrey out of his funk when their relationship falters.

The story is nicely paced, and you really get a sense of Aubrey’s world and his struggle since his retirement.  I would love to read Rudy’s story (hint, hint Morticia lol)

 Author Bio

M/M Erotic Romance author Morticia Knight enjoys hot stories of men loving men forever after. They can be men in uniform, Doms and subs, rock stars or bikers - but they're all searching for the one (or two!) who was meant only for them.

When not indulging in her passion for books, she loves the outdoors, film and music. Once upon a time she was the singer in an indie rock band that toured the West Coast and charted on U.S. college radio. She is currently working on more installments of Sin City Uniforms and The Hampton Road Club, as well as the follow-up to Bryan and Aubrey's story from Rockin' the Alternative.
